Festival Hola América 2026

Barranquilla, ColombiaNovember 6 | La Fábrica de la CulturaNovember 7 | Malecón del Río

A regional gathering to imagine, activate and celebrate new narratives on migration, social innovation and a shared future in Latin America.

A festival to change the way we talk about migration

It is Latin America's leading regional, multisector gathering on Social Innovation for Migration.

For five years we have built this space, which is more than an event: it is a platform to drive new narratives on migration.

Panels, workshops, networking, and artistic and cultural expressions celebrate the agency and contributions of people on the move.

Festival Hola América was a great opportunity for human rights organizations from Latin America and the Caribbean to come together, share experiences and knowledge, and understand what innovation means and the opportunity migration represents for the region — especially its impacts, which are far more positive than the negative picture narratives often paint.

Latin America is what it is today thanks to migration, and we are living in a time when migration is redefining who we are. Hola América has been a space that honors this discussion, where experiences of social innovation allowed us to reflect on how human mobility has been, is and will continue to be an engine of development for our societies.

The greatest value we took from the Festival is the invaluable network we were able to build. It brought us closer to individuals and to a range of organizations that are actively developing concrete initiatives in the field. This meeting of wills and ideas laid the ground for future alliances that promise to multiply our reach and effectiveness.

This gathering is very important in the global context. Migration is a topic that will take up more and more space in public debate, and we have a responsibility to counter misinformation. It was incredible and deeply moving to see so many optimistic people eager to find solutions together.
